LIFEgroup Quarterly Cycle
Quarterly LIFEgroup Launches (September, January, April, July)
Each quarter lasts 8 to 12 weeks.
The summer is shorter, lasting two months - July and August
Each quarter: Starts with: Potluck & Covenant and Ends with: Communion & Evaluation
Why do we take breaks every quarter? This gives new people an open door for joining a group that has a set starting time. Most people who have been in the group will stay in the same group through a number of quarters as they simply re-sign up.
New people are more likely to sign up for a group that meets for 8-12 weeks because they know that, if the group is not a good fit, they only have to commit for a maximum of 12 weeks. By giving new people an easy on-ramp and easy off ramp, we are communicating that it is ok for them to move to another group if the first one is not a good fit.

LIFEgroup Characteristics :
- Weekly meetings in homes, restaurants, offices, schools.
- Mix of specialty groups, book of the Bible studies, topics and sermon based Bible studies
- Every group should have a "Leader/Host" team.
- LIFEgroups are oriented by station in life (married, newlywed, parenting, singles, all welcome, empty nest, parents of teens, etc.)
- Open groups - anyone is welcome to join at any time and expected to commit to the covenant after three weeks of attendance.
- We ask everyone to commit to a covenant that defines the group's purpose/faithful attendance/preparation/social connectedness, and code of conduct.
