Answering Tough Questions

Many potential LIFEgroup leaders feel that they must be the ultimate "Bible Answer" person before they can lead a Bible study. To overcome this intimidation factor to new leaders, I encourage them to feel comfortable responding with, "I don't know the answer to that question, so I'll find the answers and report back next week. It is always better to say "I don't know" than to fake it and unintentionally teach some heresy.

No one expects you to have all the answers so relax. You don't have to know everything before you can lead a Bible study. We are all to be lifelong learners and it is always helpful to know where to find the answers when the tough questions come. A good first step is to ask the question at the next LIFEoutfitters leader meeting, or call a LIFEgroup Coach or LIFEgroup Pastor for their answer on the question.
